Roma, 28 agosto 2020 – “Si conferma un aumento nei nuovi casi segnalati in Italia per la quarta settimana consecutiva con una incidenza cumulativa negli ultimi 14 giorni (periodo 10-23 agosto) di 14.93 per 100mila abitanti, in aumento dal periodo 6-19 luglio e simile ai livelli osservati all’inizio di giugno”. E’ quanto viene segnalato nel report settimanale di Istituto superiore di sanità (Iss) e Ministero della Salute, relativo al monitoraggio di Covid-19 nel periodo 17-23 agosto. La maggior parte dei casi continua ad essere contratta sul territorio nazionale: risulta infatti importato da uno stato estero il 20,8% dei nuovi casi diagnosticati. Tuttavia si osserva un aumento di casi importati da altra Regione/Provincia autonoma, passato dal 2,3% nella precedente settimana di monitoraggio al 15,7% nella settimana corrente. In Italia, come in Europa e globalmente, si è verificata una transizione epidemiologica dell’epidemia da Sars-CoV-2 con un forte abbassamento dell’età mediana della popolazione che contrae l’infezione. Nel nostro Paese, segnala il report, l’età media dei casi diagnosticati nell’ultima settimana è di 29 anni, confermando un trend in diminuzione. Si riscontra dunque “un cambiamento nelle dinamiche di trasmissione (con emergenza di casi e focolai associati ad attività ricreative sia sul territorio nazionale che all’estero)”, ma anche “una minore gravità clinica dei casi diagnosticati che, nella maggior parte dei casi, sono asintomatici”.
