Roma, 27 settembre 2021 – Sono state finora 10.064 le prescrizioni di anticorpi monoclonali contro il Covid-19 effettuate in Italia, di queste 537 dal 17 al 23 settembre, ovvero in lieve calo rispetto alle 541 della settimana precedente. Lo evidenzia il 25/mo report dell’Agenzia Italiana del farmaco (Aifa) sul monitoraggio di questi farmaci destinati a soggetti a rischio di progressione al Covid-19 severo. Prescritti in base a precisi criteri e monitorati attraverso apposito registro, gli anticorpi monoclonali non hanno ancora ricevuto l’approvazione dell’Agenzia europea per i medicinali (EMA). In Italia sono stati autorizzati in via temporanea con Decreto del Ministro della salute a febbraio 2021 e resi disponibili a partire da marzo. Sono 200 le strutture di 21 Regioni o Province autonome che li hanno prescritti e la maggior parte dei pazienti trattati (5.109) ha ricevuto la combinazione di casirivimab-imdevimab, seguita dal mix bamlanivimab e etesevimab (4.132), da bamlanivimab da solo (823, ora non più disponibilie in monoterapia). Dall’inizio del monitoraggio, è il Veneto la regione ad aver trattato più pazienti con queste terapie, 1.557, seguito dal Lazio con 1.396 e Toscana con 1.345. Agli ultimi posti restano Molise e Provincia autonoma di Bolzano, con 16 e 3 pazienti inseriti nel registro. Complessivamente in Italia la media giornaliera delle prescrizioni, dal 17 al 23 settembre, è stata di 76,71 dosi contro 77,29 della settimana precedente. Sempre nell’ultima settimana analizzata, il numero più alto di prescrizioni è stato in Veneto (129), seguito da Toscana (84), Lazio (73) e Sicilia (39).
