Etichette sulla biancheria intima maschile e femminile con messaggi di prevenzione anticancro: dall’autopalpazione mammaria, da apporre sui reggiseni, alla raccomandazione, su boxer e slip, di controllare eventuali noduli o gonfiore ai testicoli. E’ il progetto lanciato dal Nhs, il servizio sanitario inglese, in collaborazione con una catena di negozi, che piace molto anche agli oncologi italiani: “E’ un’ottima iniziativa. Qualsiasi stimolo alla prevenzione primaria è benvoluto, perché se ne parla sempre ma in realtà l’autopalpazione non è così diffusa, soprattutto fra i maschi, per i quali è venuto meno anche l’importante controllo durante la visita militare con la leva obbligatoria”, dice all’Adnkronos Salute Saverio Cinieri, presidente Aiom, l’associazione degli oncologi italiani. Per questo “come Aiom siamo pronti a lanciare un’iniziativa analoga e ad accogliere aziende disposte a realizzarla sui loro capi intimi”.
“Le donne – sottolinea Cinieri – sono più sensibili e predisposte rispetto ai maschi al controllo e all’autopalpazione, mentre i ragazzi non vanno dal medico di famiglia, non si autopalpano, e oggi notiamo un incremento di tumori testicolari spesso dovuti a cause che potevano essere evitate. Purtroppo in tutti i paesi occidentali l’incremento dei tumori al seno e ai testicoli è sostanzialmente in aumento. E in Italia, soprattutto al Sud, il tasso di adesione ai programmi di screening sono molto bassi, dunque vanno quindi intensificati. E teniamo presente – osserva – che tutti i programmi di prevenzione oncologica ora contemplati nei Lea riguardano, guarda caso, l’apparato ‘contenuto’ negli slip”.
L’oncologo ricorda, poi che “in Italia un’azienda produttrice di reggiseni aveva fatto in passato una campagna pubblicitaria dedicata alle donne sottoposte a mastectomia, dedicando loro una linea di reggiseni, che aveva richiami pubblicitari sulla prevenzione”. In questo caso, con le etichette ‘anti-cancro’ “lanciamo un messaggio a tutti, maschi e femmine di ogni età, che leggendole verranno sollecitati a controllarsi”, conclude.
