Roma, 9 luglio 2020 – “I risultati relativi agli acquisti diretti dei farmaci da parte delle strutture sanitarie pubbliche evidenziano una spesa pro capite maggiore per le Regioni in piano di rientro, un consumo più basso e un prezzo medio superiore rispetto a quanto riportato dalle Regioni non in PdR”. E’ quanto ha evidenziato il primo Rapporto dell’Agenzia Italiana del Farmaco (AIFA) sulle Politiche di assistenza farmaceutica nelle Regioni in Piano di rientro (Abruzzo, Calabria, Campania, Lazio, Puglia, Molise e Sicilia). “Sono orgoglioso di poter presentare oggi questo Rapporto – ha commentato il Direttore Generale dell’AIFA Nicola Magrini – che si inserisce tra le attività dell’AIFA a supporto delle Regioni nell’ambito della governance della spesa e dell’assistenza farmaceutica e che anticipa il consueto rapporto annuale OsMed sull’impiego dei medicinali in Italia. Sono particolarmente affezionato all’attività dell’OsMed, che ho potuto seguire fin dalla sua istituzione e che rappresenta per l’Agenzia uno strumento di monitoraggio fondamentale, per orientare le scelte di politica sanitaria e assistenziale ad un uso il più possibile ottimale del farmaco, come risorsa di salute essenziale”. Quanto evidenziato dall’analisi dei Programmi Operativi 2016-2018 presi in esame nel Rapporto ha mostrato come le Regioni si siano maggiormente concentrate sul tema della razionalizzazione della spesa e in modo particolare sul potenziamento del monitoraggio prescrittivo e sulla promozione delle procedure di acquisti centralizzati attraverso la definizione di fabbisogni regionali. Altrettanto importante è stata considerata la gestione del canale distributivo da utilizzare per garantire l’accesso al farmaco, nell’ottica della continuità ospedale‐territorio. In questo senso, ha aggiunto il Direttore dell’AIFA, “l’Agenzia intende sempre più agevolare lo scambio di informazioni con e tra le Regioni e supportarle con un feedback continuo sui loro andamenti di spesa e consumi farmaceutici, così che possano meglio tarare le scelte previsionali e manageriali, nel rispetto della sostenibilità del nostro SSN”.
