Roma, 19 agosto 2020 – In Italia nel 2019 la spesa farmaceutica totale è stata di 30,8 miliardi di euro, con un aumento del 5,8% rispetto all’anno precedente. L’incremento è dovuto ai farmaci acquistati dalle strutture pubbliche (+18,3%) e all’acquisto privato dei farmaci di (classe A: +13,5%; classe C: +6,6%). La quota rimborsata dal Servizio Sanitario Nazionale è stata il 76,4%. Dal punto di vista dei consumi i dati mostrano che ogni italiano ha assunto in media 1,6 dosi di farmaco al giorno, per una spesa media pro capite di 510 euro (390 euro a carico del SSN). Sono questi i principali dati contenuti nel “Rapporto 2019 sull’uso dei Farmaci in Italia”, realizzato dall’Osservatorio Nazionale sull’impiego dei Medicinali (OsMed) dell’Agenzia Italiana del Farmaco (AIFA). “Questo è il Rapporto che segna i venti anni di attività dell’OsMed e lo presento con grandissimo piacere – ha dichiarato il Direttore Generale AIFA Nicola Magrini -. Quando tutto cominciò l’idea era di fotografare la spesa pubblica e privata; successivamente si è fatto lo sforzo di valutare se l’uso dei farmaci disponibili fosse in linea con le migliori evidenze e nel corso degli anni si è arrivati a parlare di usi razionali, appropriati, ottimali dei farmaci”. “Oggi i flussi OsMed sono in grado di fornire dati utili per il budget impact, per l’andamento delle previsioni, per il rispetto dei tetti di spesa, per il buon uso delle risorse disponibili, per la capacità di copertura del sistema sanitario dei bisogni dei cittadini rispetto ai farmaci” ha concluso Magrini.
